My most common question I receive is:

How do you come up with all your photographs ideas .... well, here's the more than extraordinary answer:

We were met with difficulty when starting a family and then we were blessed with twin daughters. Very soon there after, we were surprised, truly surprised with another pregnancy.

About two months into the pregnancy, I began to become bombarded with images of hearts and love photographs I wanted to capture. Everyday something new... one after the next. After a couple years of no inspiration, no new photographs, I was unstoppable and felt the need to capture every image in my mind plus some!

Now the amazing part comes in, halfway through my pregnancy, we discovered our unborn daughter had a fatal heart defect which would have to be corrected immediately upon being born. Shocked, we educated ourselves, prepared ourselves, and welcomed our tiny miracle to this world with all the love, knowledge, and courage we could find.

After numerous procedures, two open heart surgeries, months away from home, lots of tears and even more hope.... we have a healthy, happy, joyful two year old girl named Juliet Ivy who changed how I see the world forever.

I will never be able to fully explain it and maybe it's better that way but I truly believe she gave me my inspiration. She brought us a new life, showed us what it meant to live, and everyday, proves what the love of a family can accomplish.

When I am not working on creating something new and wonderful, I am caring for my beautiful daughters... who all lovingly indulge me in my obsessive photograph taking.
